Citation Rates Details -
Averages are calculated by adding up the citation counts of individual
papers and dividing by the number of those papers. For example,
you can compare the citations per paper for a scientist in a field
of study to the average citation rates for that field to determine
how a particular paper compares to the average.
Percentiles
Details -
The levels by field and year are 0.01%, 0.1%, 1.0%, 10%, 20%,
and 50%. Using the percentiles table, you can determine, for example,
the number of citations required to be in the top 0.01% for a
particular field of study.
Field
Rankings Details -
The fields are sorted by number of citations by default, the field
with the most citations being at the top of the list.
