Overview
Citation Link reveals all
of a patent's citations - both backward and forward - in a graphical map, using
multiple visualization techniques.
Details
You can plot relationships by
key bibliographic fields and control a variety of display attributes for easier
analysis. With Citation Link, you can instantly find out if an invention is key
to an industry or see if competitors are following your lead.
From a specific patent, you can review either backward or
forward references, or both at once, while examining as many levels of citations
as you need. You can display your analysis in a citation tree or timeline with
one-, five- or 10-year increments, and you can plot relationships by:
- Title
- Patent Number
- Assignee
- Inventor(s)
- IPC Class
- National Class
- Assignee Country
Citation Link lets you quickly navigate large
maps by providing a thumbnail overview with which you can zero in on a specific
area that you want to view in detail. And you can recenter the diagram by
selecting a new patent to become the focal point of the display. At any point,
you can view bibliographic data or link to the Delphion Integrated View for a
specific patent.
With Citation Link's sophisticated visualization
technology, you get a clear understanding of a patent's reference
history.
You can control your display by color
coding specific patents, an entire branch or groups of patents, for example, to
highlight all of the patents from a specific assignee. Or, you can clean up your
view by choosing to hide specific patents or whole branches of a citation tree.
Then zoom in or out to focus on the group that's most relevant to
you.
Once you've completed your analysis, you can easily print or save
the display for inclusion in reports or presentations. Or, save the resulting
list of patents as a Work File for further manipulation and analysis within
Delphion Research.
