Thomson Reuters Accurately Predicts Nobel Prizewinners
The Scientific business of Thomson Reuters has successfully predicted two Nobel Prize category winners this year — in Physiology or Medicine, and in Chemistry. The Economics prize will be announced October 13th.
This year's Chemistry award went to Roger Tsien, Osamu Shimomura and Martin Chalfie. Tsien was predicted this year to be a contender for the Prize by David Pendlebury, an analyst with the Research Services group. Luc Montagnier, winner of the prize in medicine, has long been on the list of probable winners at Thomson Reuters. Montagnier was named a Citation Laureate in 1989 for his work on the AIDS virus.
Thomson Innovation Receives R&D 100 Award

Thomson Innovation was selected as an award winner for 2008 by an independent judging panel because it is considered an important new product that leapfrogs current technology, according to the editors of R&D Magazine.
