Gabrielle Derriks

Gabrielle Derriks was born in Africa and when she joined Dialog in 1997 she already had a long career in private education and the business world.

On completion of an MA in translation from the University of Mons — Belgium, she specialised in Applied Linguistics, Phonetics and Phonology. With a special certificate in the SGAV (structuro-global audio-visual) language methodology of the University of Zagreb, she designed and directed tailor-made language courses for most of the top Belgian companies. She pioneered the development of computer-assisted language courses for which she won a golden award.

As a Training Consultant who speaks 4 languages, Gabrielle Derriks has been and continues to be, responsible for various European territories and has trained many Dialog customers in a variety of fields covering science and technology, medical and pharmaceutical, intellectual property and business intelligence.

Since June 2003 she’s been an active Quantum² coach offering sessions in Germany, France, Holland and Belgium and in January 2007 took on a new dual role in addition to her training responsibilities to promote and develop the Graduate Education Programs in Europe.

At weekends as a certified Tourist Guide, Gabrielle loves guiding European visitors through the old sreets of the mediaeval university town of Leuven (Louvain) in Belgium enlightening them on their common European heritage.
