Approximately 180 new patents are added weekly, alerting researchers to potential competitor compounds and providing a complete picture of competitors' early research portfolios.

Therapeutic patents filed through the major patent routes (the World, European, American, Japanese and British patent offices) are selected for abstracting. A summary and sample chemical structure, if appropriate, are added to IDdb - usually within a week of publication.

Scientific Meetings
More drugs are reported at meetings than anywhere else - read about it first in IDdb.
IDdb has one of the fastest and probably the most comprehensive meeting report services. Utilizing a network of up to 2,000 scientists as well as our own in-house editors, we cover over 300 global meetings every year. In excess of 400 reports are added to IDdb from these meetings and the underlying information in thousands of drug and company reports is updated.

Approximately 700 new references are added each week, alerting users to recently published drug information and providing a comprehensive bibliography for each drug.

Priority lists of approximately 100 scientific journals are directly scanned for rapid coverage by our in-house editorial team. Back-up scanning of the core biomedical and chemical bibliographic databases provides coverage of thousands of other journals.

Company press releases provide a vital source of drug and company news - especially for IDdb Daily Alerts. As with all information sources in IDdb, the full text of the original is available via convenient hyperlinks. Daily newswires, industry newsletters, analyst and annual reports are scanned and the editors also communicate directly with companies in order to validate the gathered data, and where possible, collect and verify more information.
