Princeton Keynote Speaker: Jim Golden, Ph.D.
Dr. Golden is Chief Technology Officer of SAIC's Life Sciences Office where he is focused on search and intelligence analysis, including unstructured text mining, competitive intelligence and social networks. Previously he has held positions in market intelligence, business development and informatics at Life Science Insights, 454 Corporation, CuraGen, GeneSys Technologies, and Pioneer Hi-Bred.
Dr. Golden is a Major in the U.S. Air Force Reserve and spent several years on the staff of the Air Force Test Pilot School. Dr. Golden has a B.S. in mathematics and computer science from Rhodes College, Memphis,TN; an M.S. in computer science from the University of Tennessee Space Institute in Tullahoma, TN; and a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Vanderbilt University (design and optimization of DNA sequencing devices).

Jon Brett-Harris is Executive Vice President of the Pharmaceutical and Chemical Markets strategic business unit for Thomson Reuters. His responsibilities include the Liquent, IDRAC, Newport, Prous Science and CMR businesses.
Prior to joining Thomson in March 2006, Jon held management and leadership roles within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. He had also operated his own company with activities focused on pharmaceutical licensing, venture funding and executive coaching.
Jon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Economics and an MBA, both from the University of London.

US Guest Speaker: Jeffrey S. Ross, M.D.
Dr. Ross is a graduate of Oberlin College, Oberlin, Ohio and The State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine in Buffalo, New York. He served as an intern resident and fellow in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. He was certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology in 1974.
Dr. Ross has received numerous academic awards, three patents in molecular diagnostics and is the author of more than 550 peer-reviewed scientific articles, research abstracts, 3 textbooks and numerous book chapters in the fields of pathology, molecular diagnostics, oncology and translational cancer research. At Albany Medical College, Dr. Ross directs an extramurally funded research laboratory in molecular pathology.

She is now a Product Manager responsible for the strategy and future roadmap of existing and new business development & licensing solutions for the pharmaceutical & biotech industry.

She then moved to internal product training, helping the sales team learn about the products and gain an understanding of the drug development pipeline. After being in this role for 2 years Krysia moved to a customer facing role to help address customer specific needs and accompanying sales on customer visits.

Most recently, Mike led the Custom Solutions Team within the Pharma/Chem business of TS, having joined Newport Strategies in 2003 as New Business Development Director, and later as Product Specialist.
Previously, Mike was a Managing Consultant with PA Consulting Group’s Life Science & Technology practice in Cambridge, MA. He has also held management positions in the Life Science practices of Barnett International/PAREXEL and with Deloitte Consulting in Philadelphia, PA and Bath, UK.

Dave joined Thomson Scientific in 2005 as a
member of Newport’s research team which
specializes in gathering competitive intelligence on the worldwide active ingredients market and the generic pharmaceutical sector. In 2007, Dave took on an additional role of supporting Thomson’s global sales force during the sales of Newport’s systems, including Vision CI which is used by many innovators for CI and sourcing purposes. In this dual role, Dave has traveled to many countries of the world, including India, China, and Japan. Dave earned a BS in Economics with Business minor from the University of Utah.

Subsequent to this he joined Thomson Reuters as GENESEQ Editorial and Content manager in November 2005. Here he was responsible for optimizing production in terms of timeliness and quality, but also examining potential content changes and additions to the product. In June 2007 he moved into his current role where he is responsible for developing solutions for Biologists and those working with this information.

Previously, Odile held a variety of roles in sales and sales management for Europe and Japan.
Odile is a Pharmacist Doctor and holds several degrees in clinical trial. She started to work at IDRAC from its conception in 1993.

Riccardo Sciabica is a Senior Editor within IDRAC, a Thomson Reuters service, which is the leading Drug Regulatory Information database covering all the legislation and practical regulatory information needed to launch and maintain medicinal products on the market in 55 countries. In his role at IDRAC, Riccardo is responsible for maintaining and updating the EU module and for coordinating the activity of all the teams in charge of the European countries modules.
Riccardo joined IDRAC as an Editor for the European and International legislation in 2002. Prior to joining IDRAC, Riccardo worked as a medical representative at Alfa-Wassermann, he also spent several months as a trainee within the European Medicines Agency (EMEA).
He gained his PharmD in 1997 at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Palermo (Italy) and his Master in Regulatory Affairs in the European Union in 1999 at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lille (France).
